Credit card default

Dear Sir,

My name is kiran staying in Bangalore.I had taken a Standard Chartered credit card in the year 2009 and had a very good track record of paying the payment within the due date. But in September 2012, I made some payment one day late and interest of Rs. 3500/- was calculated on the whole amount. I contacted the customer care and they refused to reversal the interest charges. So, I stopped paying the interest charges from next month onwards and I use to pay only the amount of which I made the shopping. Later in May 2013, I stopped using the credit card. In the meantime I had taken a loan on my card of 1.5L and I paid it completely.

Now in April 2014, the bank people called me and informed me that the total outstanding on my card was Rs. 60,000/- and they had given my address to the collection agency and the guys are keep calling me and also visiting my house everyday morning.

Now I request you to provide me a solution of the consequences if I don't pay the amount and how to handle these collection agency guys

Thanks
