ISSUE OF SHARE CERTIFICATE

(Querist) 12 October 2009 This query is : Resolved
This is the case of Private Limited Company. I want to issue share certificate for 12,500 Shares of Rs.100 each at a premium of Rs. 100 each. so I have to affix Revenue stamp of Rs.2,500 (0.1% in Maharashtra) but it is not possible to affix all the stamp on share certificate so can i attach one more page so as to affix the remaining revenue stamp on it.if yes then on additional page what procedure i have to perform.

yes you can do so but if lesser stamp of heavy value are available then try to get the same and affix thereon.

I think there is some mistake in calculating the amount of Revenue Stamps. If it is 0.1% in Maharastra the amount will be Rs.25/- and not 2500/- as stated.
Please verify again.

DISHANT DOSHI (Querist) 13 October 2009
Calculation is (12,500 Shares * 200(Face Value(100)+Share Premium(100))=25,00,000
0.1% of Rs. 25,00,000 = 2500 Rs.

Another thing is it is better to issue Jambo certificate of Split Certificate is ok.
