Hearing dates

Guest (Querist) 19 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
Dear Experts,

I filed a divorce case against my wife under desertion and cruelty grounds at Tis Hazari court. My case is in Evidence stage now with my evidence date given after 3 months i.e 1st Dec, 2011

Hearing dates are 2-3 months timelag. My question is that if the case is filed in other areas like Rohini court, Saket court or Dwarka court, Does Judge give the same timelines for next hearing or it can be early.
What can be done to schedule early hearing dates?

Kindly let me know.

You can request for early hearing, but 2-3 months dates are normal in Delhi.

dates given by courts depend upon backlog of cases , stage of trial . request cna be made for early hearing but it is at the discretion of the court

Thanks Experts, so you mean to say that If I would have my case filed at other family courts like Rohini, Dwarka or Saket, Hearing dates for 2-3 months would still be there or could have been less?

Since Tis Hazari is an Old court, hence backlog of cases is high there.

I do not think the other courts would have caused much difference as far as frequency of the dates is concerned.

Hearing dates are given depending upon the convenience of the court. If you there is any need the court will give a short date.

How you or any one else can guess that courts wish to opt have a less back log comparing Tishazari,so one can be sure of what you are trying to anticipate, these dates proceeds so almost in every part of the country.

Do we have Special Family courts in Delhi for divorce? I understand that hearing dates are early in that...

Kindly clarify and also share how a request can be made to the court for an early hearing?
