Life is not a bed of roses.

Every profession is having its own constraints.

Every marathon starts with the single step, you start your career first.

Nothing is difficult, if you have self confidence. If you take life as a challenge you will win. Otherwise whatever highest qualification of the earth you attain, your success will be in doldrums.

Dear Anonymous,
First and foremost please indicate what is your financial background.
Whether you will be able to bear the cost of accommodation and expenses towards your food etc.
I believe that you want to be a litigating lawyer and also wants to be a lawyer of your own standing.
For this, first you have to join a SOLICITOR firm in Mumbai as an Advocate Clerk. An existing Solicitor, can take only maximum 3 Advocate Clerks. You have to register yourself with Bombay Incorporated Law Society which conducts the Solicitor Examination. After serving as Advocate Clerk for minimum 3 years, you are eligible to sit for the Solicitor Examination.
Once you clear the Solicitor Examination then you will have a very good standing at the bar.
What amount of salary you would get during the period of Articleship I am not aware. You have to make enquiries.
It all depends upon your financial background and support from your family. In any case, you have to visit Mumbai, visit Mumbai High Court, get in touch with practising lawyers there, enquire about your chances etc., and then come to a conclusion.

Mr. Ramachandran's advice is quite sensible for a new incumbent, like you. You may take it seriously and act upon it. But don't forget, must try to attain self confidence as much as possible. That is a must for your success.
