Criminal Courts Jurisdiction

(Querist) 19 November 2009 This query is : Resolved
In a metro like Bengaluru, how is the criminal court structured. Can you pls explain.

How can I know where to file the criminal case, whether Judicical magistrate I, II or III. Which provision clarifies that??
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 19 November 2009
You have to fist see in which area, the crime had happened and which is the police station comprising that area. Then you have to find out which is the nearest court to that area. When you search that court then you find out thereon, which police station has been allocated to judicial magistrate and when you come to know it then you file your criminal complaint therein.

I want to ask you a question:

Are you an Advocate????????

Thank you very much sir. Yes sir, Ihave just started practice. Sorry for the trouble and for asking basic questions. Just wanted to know if I am violating the rules of the forum. Am i allowed to ask some fundamental/basic questions?? The problem is there is no book which disucssed the fundamentals to help freshers. Can you suggest some good books which would help freshers. For example there is no books which discusses as to when is a MFA filed. You know...thank you sir.
