Dear Anonymous,
You purchased shares in the Public Limited Company. the said public limited company purchased/amalgamated a private limited company. After such amalgamation, the private limited company will not be there.
Therefore, naturally some shares have to be issued by the Public Limited Company to the share-holders of the private limited company and not to you.
I think you have a wrong idea.

Dear Querist,
Facts dont enable us to provide you appropriate advice. However, as it appears, you may consider filing of petition for re-opening the case in the same High Court seeking, inter alia, de-merger.
Since also as it appears that you are minority share-holder, you may have little thing to do.
Pl note that opinion is general and for specific advice, please consult your regular corporate lawyer/consultant or provide us better facts.
Trust this would suffice.
