Is it compulsory to give atleast 15 days time to a noticee to respond. Can a legal notice require the noticee to respond or comply with the notice within 7 or 10 days?
In other words is a compliance period of less than 15 days prohibited?

Unless the statute governing the particular subject specify any time limit for notice the sender can mention any time for its compliance. 7 days or less than that is ery much permissible.

In case a legal notice is served before initiation of litigation out of compulsion of statutory provisions, it must comply with the statutory requirements.
In case there is no statutory requirement of service of legal notice, the party may specify any period for compliance and there is no particular period prescribed for such notices.
