I have a chimney in front across a 40 feet road of my apartment facing my apartment.

It emits smoke from the DG sets which are used for power back nearky 6-7 hrs a day.

I have requested my association president to take up the case with the builder but he does not take any action....

What should I do? can i take action against the president for inaction as he is responsible for the well being of the resident who have elected him.

Yes. Take this issue with the Registrar of the cooperative society of your locality after lodging appropriate complaint before it.

You can issue a legal notice to the president and seek immediate action. If it is not responded positively,you can resort to legal action for the removal of the chimney.
