Stamp paper requirement

(Querist) 29 August 2010 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I need to add a new partner to the existing partnership. What is the process for adding a new partner?

What is the stamp pare value on which these changes should be made? This is being done in Bangalore , Karnataka.

Also if the previous partnership is registered with RoC , do the changes also have to be registered with RoC again?

Appreciate if anyone can help me with this.

Regards

dear mr. singh you can add new partner into your existing partnership through a supplementary partnership deed with the mutual consent of all the existing partners, if there is such clause in your present partnership deed. as far as vaue of stamp paper is concerned you can make supplementary deed as per the stamp duty act of Karnataka State.
Generally the partnership deed is registered with The Registrar of Firms and Societies and not with Registrar of Companies ( RoC ) but if in the State of Karnataka you had got it registered with RoC, then you have to inform RoC about the changes you have made otherwise to The Registrar of Firms & Societies for necessary amendments in your registered partnership deed.

I do agree with Sanjeev. It is to be informed to the Dist., REgistrar who is the registrar of partnership firm in Karnataka.
