when a guy rejects the love proposal of a women and if she commits/ try to commit suicide , will tat guy be booked for abetment of suicide?? my friend is in serious dilemma . a girl loves him from long time, but he cant accept her bcoz of his family constraints. he made his stand clear many times , but shes still asking to reconsider. now he fears tat if she does anything stupid , will tat affect him or not? there is no breach of promise or any case of physical manipulations also..

he should not have met her for so many years, since he knows that he cannot marry her.
i guess it only either convince or give a complaint to the police saying that sh eis forcing for marriage even after knowing that he cannot marry, and hence he is not responsible. of course giving such complaint is a double-edged sword.

yes jayashree madam , he said tat he has not met for more than 5 years.. he is trying to convince her.. yet hes bit afraid if she do anything stupid n whthr he wil b held responsible for tat ..

He should not be afraid of her or her activities if he really not interested n her or he never loved her. He can report the matter to the nearest police station and get his complaint recorded so that even if she is committing suicide he may not be held responsible. By the way why is your friend not posting the query because as rightly observed by expert Mr. Dhingra, it appears to be an academic query only.
