What is misbranding under the Food Adulteration Act?

Sec 2(ix)(g): Misbranded means: where false claims are made with respect to a food article upon the label or otherwise or where sttement, design or device there in discloses ingredients or susistances which are different form the; held that the statement, design, device or claim is false, misbranded, or misleading in any material particular.
