Guarantee from foreign holding

Can foreign holding give guarantee to its Indian wholly owned subsidiary? Which rules/regulation will be applicable & where the documents to be executed? the guarantee is required by Indian subsidiary for availing loan. (form Indian Bank)

The guarantee by foreign company has no value in India.
