List of holidays

Can a Private COmpany where in number of employee is 5, legally run its business without a list of holidays. Is not it mandatory? The company is a Joint Venture of public sector undertakings.
What action can be taken against the management?

It is mandatory to give holidays on the days like Independence and Republic day etc that the Government has declared as holidays. If the institution does not declare holidays on such days, then they can become liable under the relevant labor laws

You need to follow provisions of shops and establishment act of the state in which your company is situated.
