Mahajani act in goa

(Querist) 25 August 2012 This query is : Resolved 
Dear all

I have the below query. Many temples in Goa are covered under the Mahajani Act. They do not have any registered trust deed with them. Under this circumstances can they;

1. Accept donations from public

2. Are they provided any Tax exemptions?

3. Are the people giving donations benefitted by any sort of tax exemption?

Please guide me.
