Non-cognisable offence required court permission for arrest accused.

(Querist) 11 April 2012 This query is : Resolved
in most of the case under non-cognisable offence police required court permission to arrest but know it has also seen the police arrest the accused on the spot as complaint register by complainant in non-cognisable offence.

Police has no authority to arrest without a warrant in a non-cognizable case. If a police officer does he is culpable for assault/criminal force/wrongful confinement etc.

But this is a statement of fact - this place is only meant for queries - Keep that in mind
