supply of copies to accused

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 29 July 2011 This query is : Resolved
can committing court remand accused when it has committed the case.if yes then why section 209 reads as committing court has power to send accused to remand during & untill trial.once trial is begun i think committing court has no role to play.

what document are supplied to accused u/s 208? why he is supplied copy of 161 in complaint cases?
Advocate Rajkumarlaxman (Expert) 29 July 2011
the complaint copy, FIR if any and the confession statements made under 161 or 164 and witness statements if any free of costs. his own confession statement because many a times you might know it very well the statements are taken under due pressure or forcibly so to conform the confession statement the accused is given copy of the same
