legal notice

(Querist) 12 March 2009 This query is : Resolved
hi all
can a lawyer in employment send a legal notice to a defaulter on behalf of the employer?

Or does a practicing lawyer needs to be hired to send a legal notice on behalf of the employer?
PALNITKAR V.V. (Expert) 12 March 2009
There is no bar. Practicing lawyer need not be hired.
M. PIRAVI PERUMAL (Expert) 12 March 2009
I agree with Mr. Palnitkar. But he/she can send the legal notice only by the designation in which he/she is employed with the employer.
A. A. JOSE (Expert) 12 March 2009
I fully agree with above views and further would like to add that there is no legal requirement that a legal notice should be served through a lawyer.
Tribhuwan Pandey (Expert) 12 March 2009
I agree with the above views. Notice is a intimation to the opposite party either by lawyer or sou moto.
Kamlesh soni (Expert) 12 March 2009
I fully agree with above views and further would like to add that there is no legal requirement that a legal notice should be served through a lawyer.
