jurisdiction of judicial magistrate first class

dear experts can u please clear my confusion regarding the following;
1. can i file a case for judicial seperation in the court of judicial magistrate first class and also what is the puciniary limit of judicial magistrate first class to grant permanent alimony to the petitioner wife.
2. in matter the JMFC has no jurisdiction to entrtain the judicial seperation then where should i go for the same.
