Determination of the age of ink

Dear friends
kindly look into this judgement reported in 2010.1.CTC.424.
which has taken a view that the age of the ink cannot be determained, since the facility is not available. kindly inform the legal members about this issue, since it is imporatant topic which requires considertion.

Sir,,I also required literature on this topic...but so far the precedents and literature on this aspect I have gone through reveals that the age of ink can not be decided with utmost accuracy....even if we get a report in this regard then also corroboration is required from other cogent evidence..What an ironical position it is,,our courts tend to rely upon oral evidence in this scientific era,,when it is difficult to reveal the truth from the mouth of witness,,as he is clever enough and above all tutored one...

It is true that there is no mechanism to find the age of the ink.

Modern science can do it and the citation reffered is old one. If the effort is worth it can be determined.

it is now possible scientifically. Even private forensic labs have this facility now and are admissible in evidence in Court now.

yes, the date of ink can be determined. by use of ulra violate rays lamp, it possible. consult the forensic labs.

Can anybody provide any case law, which admitted the age of ink, through forensic lab test.
