need suggestion on the following

when magistrate pass an order u/s. 202 of cr.p.c. directing the police to investigate the matter, police at the time of investigtion record the statement of both the sides or only of complainant and if the accused is from some other state then how police investigate the matter

police will call the parties to make an investigation or they may go the places where the parties are residing.

the police officer will issue the notice under section 160 Cr.P.C. to join the investigation and they will join if they donot join the same then I.O will obtain the warrants for the same.
