Non Payment of FDR Amount by BANK

In the year 2007, a fixed Deposit was taken by my father from Bank of Baroda (Branch Mandalgarh, Distt – Bhilwara (Raj.)) for Rs. 75000/- with maturity amount of Rs. 97000/- jointly in the name of my cousin sister and my father. The maturity date of the said FDR was 08.02.2010. The names on the FDR are written as:
……….Received with thanks from Baby Manju by F/Sh. Roshan Lal Sharma and Shri Roshan Lal Sharma S/o. Shri Seva Ram Sharma………..
But suddenly on 30.01.2010, my father Shri Roshan Lal Sharma was expired and the father of Manju was expired in the year 1994. On the date of maturity of the said FDR, my cousin sister went to Bank and told them to encash / cancel the said FDR.
But the officers of the Bank of Baroda branch told to my cousin sister that your father name is not Shri Roshan Lal Sharma. So we cannot pay the FDR amount to you. And they have renewed the said FDR for one year. My sister told them that this is not my mistake, it is your officers mistake, why he written "by F/Sh. in place of C/o" after my name . But the bank officers are not agreeing to pay the amount of said FDR. However, the legal heirs of Late Shri Roshan Lal Sharma have no objection and they are giving the NOC in Writting.
At the time of making said FDR, they have not demanded any ID proof of my cousin sister and now they demanding ID proof containing her father name as Shri Roshan Lal Sharma.
However, a legal notice has already been sent by us to Branch Manager, but till date we have not received any reply.
Therefore, I request you to kindly suggest me in the matter as early as possible.

You file an application for succession certificate and obtain it.That would solve the problem.

Sir, where i have to file application to get succession certificate?
My residence at Mathura(U.P.) and FDR is from Mandalgarh, Bhilwara (Raj.)

Where the FDRs are invested or where the investor has died.

The said FDR is in the name of my cousin sister also. Will the court object to issue me a succession certificate. If no, will the bank release the payment of said FDR to me after getting succession certificate, since the same is in the name of my cousin sister also?
Kindly suggest.
