I am interested to purchase agricultural land in my wife's name my wife's brother is a agriculturist and he has a pahni can I purchase the agricultural land

Before purchase of land, obtain a copy of previous (in which he purchased that land) document, EC from the subregistrar concerned, Fair Adangal copy/Pahani and show all the material to an advocate for not raising legal complications. then get the deed prepared by a senior Document Writer or an advocate. As the owner of the land is your wfie's brother the Document Writer may tell you that make a gift deed as the stamp duty is less. but really you are purchasing the land with your own money, then you must go for sale deed.
