exhibit of document in cross-exam

If a advocate refer a document in a cross-exam than those document can be exhibited or not? If exhibited then under what provision of law.Is there any ruling of Supreme Court or High Court in this regard.

Putting the document during cross examination is to extract the truth which the witness was concealing and the document which is referred must be bearing his signature and contents known to him.It is the law of evidence that the documents which are tobe proved must be through direct evidence,so when such document is confronted and witness will have to admit it and so it can be exhibited.

It can be exhibited. If the doucment is produced by the defendant and confronted by the plaintiff it will be marked as exhibits in the D series and vice versa

if the document is referred in the cross examination then that document has to mark as the exhibit it is the settled provision of law and no authority is required.
