Farmer certificate

Hello Sir,
My father was a farmer in uttarakhand and was working as an employee in TOI in ahmedabad for fify years. I am married and we are staying in ahmedabad since 50 yrs. But my husband isnt a farmer nor his father. So can i purchase an agriculture land since my father was carrying a farmer certificate ??
And if i cant then whats the procedure of getting an agriculture land without carrying a farmer certificate. ??
Please sir help me out with this query.

You have not stated that where do you intend to buy the farmland or agricultural land. Every state has its own rules in this regard.
You may come out with details.

Discuss with local lawyer at the place, you want to purchase agricultural land.
