Proper age of marriage

(Querist) 09 October 2012 This query is : Resolved
What is the basis of fixing 21 & 18 respectively for boys & girls as marriagable age ?
Is is not violating the right to liberty of an individual ?
R.K Nanda (Expert) 09 October 2012
no,the right of liberty is not violated.
Bhawani Mahapatra (Querist) 09 October 2012
Why should a boy of 20, matured enough wait till he attains 21 for marriage, is is not restricting his liberty & personal life ?

Pl. justify sir.
R.K Nanda (Expert) 09 October 2012
21 for boy and 18 for girl is fixed as in that age group they become fully matured mentally, bodily and sexually for bearing
the burden of marriage.
Bhawani Mahapatra (Querist) 09 October 2012
But sir....how can there be a thumb rule for every citizen of India. Because maturity of mind & body doesn't develop uniformly across the country. Also there is no guarantee that a boy or a girl will be matured enough to bear the burden of marriage when s/he attains 18 or 21.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 09 October 2012
Then what age do yu propose. Some persons do not mature even in fifties.
R.K Nanda (Expert) 09 October 2012
I agree with expert Sudhir Kumar. Moreover,

fundamental right of liberty has nothing to do with marriage ages of boy and girl.if u want discussion on this topic go to forum.

Laws are enacted in Parliament, where u selected your representative.
We cannot question why??
we are abide by Laws.
Does it mean Muslim girl marry on puberty is matured at 13 yrs??
Is are Laws.
Tomorrow you will argue ,Why Muslim girl can marry at 13 and Hindu boy cannot marry at 20??

Hoe u prove Girls get matured 3 years earlier than man??

Point is Point of Law, not your argument.
One has to act as per Law, whether right or wrong. No Wisdom.Only Law.
Man made laws have it's own defect.
No Man is perfect, not man made Laws.

& We do not want to follow natural Laws, that are perfect by all means.
Result?? we all know ....
