My brother has filed L E suit in the court of small causes, Mumbai,against me and my family, claiming I am gratuitous licensee.(of My House in Mumbai)
Now he is asking for inspection of my documents. I thought it would logical, that, since he has filed the LE suit, he should give inspection ( and file evidence)before asking for inspection of my documents. It is like asking me to prove my innocence; instead of finding me guilty.
What is the correct procedure?

if your brother has filed suit you can ask for inspection of documents referred to and relied upon in the plaint to enable you to file reply .
if you have filed your reply the plaintiff is entitled to ask for inspection of documents relied upon by you in your reply
