Yes it should be ameneded because this section is inserted in ipc with a view to curb cruelty on married woman forsake of dowary. Now a days it is widely misused by married women forsake of extortion,compelete custody over husband and their family. Even the school going kid and distant relative are not spared. Our apex court and highcourts have appericiated in many judgement that it is bluntly misused by unscruplous married women. It should be atleast made bailable and non cognizable.

@Rajeev Kumar..... if those women are proved wrong....they should be punished severly..
