Teacher slap attempt

Hi,
I am a student of an Engineering College studying in my 4th year.
3 days before one of the faculty in my college attempted to slap me when i moved away. He did this because while studying at one place in the Academic building i lied down for 5 mins, as i needed a break.
Tell me how to complaint against him to the police. He is a very horrible teacher and he does these things very often in college but no student has the guts to go against him.

Physical punishment in educational institutions is strictly prohibited and if teacher has violated this provision then he is liable to be prosecuted accordingly.
Instead of moving to police, you should make a written complaint to the management of the college as well as to university to initiate strict action against such teacher.
I hope this shall suffice otherwise you shall invite various practical problems for yourself.

Although for enforcement of legal rights ,opinion expressed by Mr.Makkad is right.But I think you should discourage on your own to yourself because you have visited in the college to learn and make a carrier,then why bunks on pocket of parrents.
