dear expert i am a junior advocate and i have to draft for my client a joint declaration of husband and wife as they dont have their marriage invitation card as their marriage solemnised at village without printing invitation card. they need it for their marriage registration
and please let me know can a two person jointly make a affidavit
or can husband and wife jointly make joint declaration pls. help me and resove my query

personally analyzing law i view and have always been and still is that there can not be any joint affidavit.BUT SIMULTANEOUSLY I HAVE WITNESSED SCORE OF INSTITUTIONS INSISTING UPON FOR THE SAME.IN SUCH A CIRCUMSTANCE THE PRACTICE RULE IS THAT DO IN ROME AS ROMANS DO.

I agree with Ld. Prabhakar Singh Ji,
There is no such thing as joint affidavit, it is non est in law.
Two affidavits one from wife and one from husband is required for marriage registration. In Delhi, they ask for two affidavits instead of a joint affidavit.

What is the harm in Joint affidavit ?In my view it is not barred.
