About ipo

(Querist) 21 September 2011 This query is : Resolved
sir,
how we can fill the ipo, is there any information written on it regarding our query or not. shall we take any xerox copies of our query form and ipo for further reference? and how many days we can wait for the reply. if suppose reply was not coming in time then what can i do?
ajay sethi (Expert) 21 September 2011
by IP you mean intial public offer i presume . if you have filled in aplication form you must keep xerox copies for your record . generally period within which allotmnet will be done is mentioned in application form . if reply has not been received for say a month lodge complaint with registrars to the issue
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 21 September 2011
Dear Mr. Sethi,
I think the querist is concerned about the Indian Postal Order (IPO) which one has to attach as a fee along with the RTI Application.
The querist is quite right - the xerox copy of the query as well as the IPO has to be taken and kept as a record for future reference.
If reply is not received within 30 days (say 35-40 days from the date of application - since the PIO will not receive the RTI application on the same day. There will be at least 3-4 days delay between the date of posting and date of receipt.) of receipt of the RTI application by the Public Information Officer, you have to make an appeal to the next higher authority under RTI.

thanks for your clarification MR ramchandran . queries are quite confusing some times . IPO stands for intial public offer as well as indian postal order .

Dear Bhanu Vardhan,

In fact, the you have, yourself, created a confusion by using abbreviated word without giving reference to the nature of case and posting the query in the catery of "others" and avoiding that to be posted, either in the category of civil law, or the business law.

You should not have tried to keep the experts in gussing position. You should come forward with a clear problem for which you desires solution.

I agree with mr.R.Ramachandran.

Dear Bhanu Vardhan
Counterfoil of Postal order is sufficient and xerox copy of RTI application for future reference.
