my question is: that if i purchase a building/flat in residential area for residential purpose, can i also use that accomodation as my chamber or for opening a law firm?? will that violate any law?

NO BAR! YOU HAVE RIGHT TO DO SO LAW CHAMBERS ARE NOT TREATED AS PLACE OF COMMERCE OR TRADE.
