Police Officer more star or more.

Final Report of the investigation is to be filed by the officer-in-charge of the police station; and not by IO. Case law required also the difference between IO & office – in – charge.

How the star attached to the uniform of the Police officer increases. Is there any process or any qualification required to increases this star’s I heard the more the star the more power he/she has.

One star = Assistant sub-inspector
Two star = sub-inspector
Three star = inspector...

An inspector ranked police can be made Officer in charge of a police station.

IO = Investigation Officer [to whom investigation of a certain case is handed over]

In Andhra Pradesh it is in practice to appoint SI as In charge of police station.

so all the officer above police has only 3 star whether he may be SP, DGP, Commissioner DIG, or any one in the police force.

Can any one entitled me about there powers they have & chronlogical order how are bigger than whom in terms of powers (State of Maharashtra).

Who can suspended who. & who can reappoint a suspended person with whose permission.
