cheque related

What are may options if someone forced me to write a accoutn payee cheques without anyones name on it.
I am caught in a situation where few people forced me to sign a cheque and put the amount on it without mentioning anyones name.
I thought that if I go to police then case may turn out to be false because once the person knows I complined in police then he may tear the cheque stating that they never took it from me.
what can I do?

Your story is totally unbelievable. If you go to Police and if the cheque is torn, so what? First, you will not lose the money. Secondly, you should be in a position to establish that they came, threatened and got the cheque from you. Why should you bother. If they had really taken the cheque, and thereafter torn it, does not mean that they had not taken the cheque from you. Whether you intimated your bank to stop the payment of the cheque or not? If not, why not?
