A Muslim lady married a widower. The widower had a grown up son by his first wife. Five years later the husband died suddenly. Can the Muslim lady file a petition under Domestic Violence Act against the step-son? Does the relationship between the lady and the step-son fall in the definition of "consanguinity"?They are not living together. The lady lives on the ground floor of the structure whereas the step-son lives on the upper floor just above where the lady lives. Can they be called living in the shared household? Will be obliged for expert advice.
