I want to have a brief knowledge of Indian laws. Is there any such book in the market which can be read for the same ? Regards.

indian laws are similar to its population. it will be dificult to get to knoe about all the indian laws in one book. to some extent try the advice of rajoo.

It is advisable that you should start by reading the following bare provisions i.e.
1. Indian Evidence Act,
2. Criminal Procedure Code
3. Indian Penal Code
4. Civil Procedure Code
5. Indian Contract Act
6. Transfer of Property Act.
7. The Consumer Disputes Act
8. Arbitration and Conciliation Act
Side by side you can get practical information on the subject of your choice at LCI as well.

Can anyone tell me the correct name of the book `Legal Remedies',its author and from where I can purchase the same ?
