Regarding property owned by my grandmother.

respected sir,
their is a house property in the name of my grand mother. it was purchased by my great grand mother and she gifted it to my grand mother on occasion of her marriage. will it be considered as ancestral property or it will be her individual property? she wants to transfer it to her 1 daughter. will it be legal doing so, As she has 4 sons & 3 daughters.
