cancellation / modification of sale deed

I purchased a flat in Karnataka & executed a sale dee.Erroneously, the amount was wrongly mentioned.Whether the sale deed can be modified with the consent of builder else what is the remedy

Whether i have to pay the stamp duty for additional amount or some penalty to be paid for wrong mentioning of amount in sale deed.Further post rectification, only rectified sale deed is the valid document or i have to keep the old sale deed also.

pl let me know whether there is any deadline within which i have to execute rectified sale deed from the date of first sale deed execution.

there is no limitation to execute the rectification deed
