Registration of Coaching Institute

Dear Sir,

Kindly let me know about the registration reqirement, if any of a coaching institute under labour & service laws or under any other law.

You have not mentioned the constitution of the institute, however you may be required to apply for Service Tax. Further labour laws will be applicable only if you employ a certain number of employees in the institute.

The institute is a sole proprietorship concern and it has employed 2 faculty members apart from one counceller and a office boy.
Please let me know about the applicability of Service tax & Labour laws.

Service Tax is applicable get the same registered, labour laws like PF/ESI are inapplicable. I assume you must be holding a PAN No with Income tax deptt.
