Why Should Anybody be afraid of Jail?

Que.1.In Our Legal System the Ultimate Judgement in any Case whether it is Civil or Criminal is Jail, then why should anybody be afraid of Jail, Because Payroll system is also that supportive in India?

It is the fear of jail which prevents many crimes and acts as a deterrent for a large number of people from doing wrongful acts.
