delay in elections in cooperative society

I live in a cooperative group housing society.
Elections in my society has not held after 2009.
I want to know the rules and laws for elections in cooperative societies.
Also, what are the laws if the elections in the cooperative societies have not been held for many years?
What I the maximum term a management committee can serve post election??

2) Election has to be held every 5 years term

For answer to your query, you have to go through the following:
1) Provision in the Bye-laws of the Housing Coop. Society regarding election to the Managing Committee;
2)Provision laid down in the Coop. Society Act & Rules of your state regarding procedure for conducting election in a regd. coop. society, term of office and non- conduct of election to the M.C. .
