Under which law private detectives are given licence. Which law governs their duties and liabilities? whether surveillence or personal data collected by them without consent of a person is legal or is breach of privacy. Is such evidence accepted in Courts.

Private dedective has no such licence in enforcing their spy work, but Ex- service man can undertake such act, under their own appointed security-gards. If at all detective work is to be done then, with the help n support of cops and their officers.In India four detective agencies run by the Govt of India.
