Section 330 of the ipc 1860

Respected sir/ madam.

Please let me know whether the provision of sec 330 of the IPC 1860 is applicable to public servants or whether these provisions extend to other individuals also. The query has arisen due to the illustrations mentioned in sec 330 which gives reference to public servants only.

It is applicable to both irrespective the person is a government servant or otherwise.

Are you an employee of the Government or some public sector enterprises? As a proprietor of some firm, you do not fall within the scope of a public servant.
