Insanity plea in section 307

(Querist) 21 May 2013 This query is : Resolved 
Dear Lawyer friends,
I would like to understand from you how to fight in terms of Insanity Plea under section 84 if the said person has been taking mental treatment for the same since past 1 year. Does this absolve him from the crime. Thank you. Your suggestions are most welcome.
