Powers of sessions judges

What are the powers of an Additional Sessions Judge and a Assistant Sessions Judge?

Also the High Court of the state appoints a judge to the Sessions Court to preside over that Court, is this Judge known by some particular name or is he also an Additional Sessions Judge?
