Interest u/s 234b/234c

When an employer has short deducted tax and the matter came alive in the FORM 16, whether the employee needs to pay interest on the income u/s 234b/234c while paying the self assessment tax after March 31?

Yes interest has to be paid in case the total tax exceeds Rs.10,000/-

At the onset thanks for the reply.
I think there is no need to pay the interest u/s 234B. This has also been said by Uttarakhand High Court in DIT vs. Maersk Co Ltd ( 2011)198 Taxman 518.
Kindly review the same and say whether my understanding is correct.
