(Querist) 11 June 2012 This query is : Resolved
Income tax-revenue had filed an appeal in high court and and the respondent dint know the date of hearing and hence couldnt attend. Later it was found that the status shows disposed and disp. type - Dismissed.
I want to know what does this mean and
what can the respondent do, to know, whether the case is still in court or has been completed?

thank you in advance.

It might be dismissed for default.

Please indicate the complete case number, the name of the High Court, and the date of hearing. After going through the Court website one can tell you the position. Also tell the title of the case.

As per the details given by you, it means that the appeal filed by Income tax-revenue has been dismissed. The copy of the same can be obtained from the High Court.
