Purchase of agricultural land.

My brother purchased agricultural land in 1987 by registered sale deed. Mutation entry is there and his name appears in 7/12 extract. Till February 2012, that land was vacant. However, just 15 days back, somebody encroached in the land and started construction work by putting cement gurders in the land. Person encroached says that the land belongs to him. He did not put demarkation fencing around his plot. The person acquired 50% possession of the plot unauthorisedly. What is the remedy to get the possession on the basis of documents executed?
