Respected sir/madam, Recently read the news 24/3/2012 that under slum redevelopment scheme nobody allowed to sell flats upto 10 years, but please advice me are we allowed to rent it out or no. And if we rent it out what will happen if some one complaints. we own a flat in cooperative society which use to be chawl, now developed and committee members say we are allowed to sell as well as rent under some section which i don't remember, but question is there any such law in which we can do so, thanks

You can rent out your premises because renting is not equivalent to sale. Your own possession with ownership is regarded in the tenancy.
