question : Now during conveyance of premises the owner who is professional has to pay stamp duty under Bombay Stamp Act then whether he is entitled to pay stamp duty at residential rates or commercial premises rates in circumstances where he is making use of premise for ancilliary profesional purpose in addition to residential purpose pls inform which section of Stamp duty deals with mixed use of properties , any judgements

residential basis. Dc rule , upto 25 sq mtr , or if part is used for your prof purpose, but main use is Residential, u r living with family, cooking, sleeping there, is undisputed residential use of majority of area. One single room used for prof office use do not attract comm rate.
