PROPERTY TAX EXAMPTION FOR EX SERVICE MAN IN KMC

Dear Sir
I am living in a small flat under Kolkata Municipal Corporation owned by me and my wife. I am ex service man.I want to know wheather there is any provision under any rules to get 25% exemption in property tax for ex service man under kolkata Municipal Corporation ?. In govt. of west bengal web site wbwcdsw.gov.in it is mentioned “25% Municipal Tax exempted by State Govt to all ex-servicemen.”
Kindly advise.

ex serviceman are exempted from paying full building tax in some states like kerala,provided the building is used for his residential stay.
you can contact the local ex.serviceman association in your locality,whether such facilities are available there.

There is a provision for 25 % Exemption of property tax for Ex service man under West Bengal Municipality Act. But on enquiry I was verbally told from enquiry counter of KMC that under Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act 1980 such provision is not available and no property tax exemption for ex service man under any KMC Act or rule . It is true that other Municipal corporation of other states are providing such Exemption facility to ex service man, I asked from Kolkata District sanik Board and State Sanik Board kolkata on this issue. But they are not able to provide correct information in case of KMC.
Hence I do request kindly inform wheather as ex service man under kolkata Municipal Corporation can I be able to get some % of Exemption of property tax under any rule /regulation. If so kindly inform me specific rule or regulation for that.
